Have Questions? We’ve Got Answers.
-Do I have to be a Trichologist to enroll?
No. The Certified CCCA Specialist™ Training is designed for Hairstylists, Trichologists, Hair Loss Practitioners, scalp-wellness professionals and other appropriate hair and scalp professionals who want to develop specialized knowledge in CCCA.
-Will this training teach me how to diagnose CCCA?
No. This program does not train professionals to diagnose medical conditions outside their legal scope of practice. You will learn to recognize concerning patterns, document observations, provide appropriate support within your professional role and understand when medical evaluation or referral may be needed.
-Will I learn how to work with clients who have already been diagnosed with CCCA?
Yes. The training addresses both clients who present with concerning signs and clients who already have a medical diagnosis. You're no only learning how to spot CCCA—you're learning how to actually support these clients, monitor progress and collaborate with medical providers when necessary.
-Will I learn how to regrow hair in clients with CCCA?
The training does not promise that hair lost to CCCA can always be regrown. CCCA is a scarring alopecia, and follicles that have been permanently destroyed cannot produce hair.
However, not every follicle in an affected area is necessarily lost at the same time. You'll learn to recognize the importance of viable follicles, support the scalp environment, address appropriate modifiable factors within your professional scope, monitor change and work alongside medical care when indicated.
The goal is not to promise regrowth. It is to help you understand what may still be possible—and how to support the best possible outcome for the client.
-Does completing the course automatically make me certified?
No. The Certified CCCA Specialist™ credential is awarded after successful completion of the required educational and clinical components of the program.
-Is the in-person Intensive included in my tuition?
Yes. Your Founding Cohort tuition includes the 3-Day CCCA Clinical + Business Intensive™ in Arlington, Texas. There is no additional Intensive fee.
-Is the in-person Clinical + Business Intensive required for certification?
The in-person CCCA Clinical + Business Intensive™ is the preferred clinical experience and provides students with live-client application, hands-on training, business development, networking and the CCCA Specialist Leadership Brunch™.
We also recognize that travel may not be possible for every student. International students and students with significant travel limitations may request an approved Virtual Clinical Competency Pathway™.
Regardless of pathway, all students must successfully demonstrate the required clinical competencies before earning the Certified CCCA Specialist™ credential.
The pathway may be different. The certification standard is not.
-Are travel and hotel expenses included?
No. Students are responsible for airfare or transportation, hotel accommodations and other personal travel expenses associated with attending the in-person Intensive in Arlington, Texas.
-What happens if I miss a live Monday class?
Training recordings will be available through the student portal so you can review missed instruction.
Students are still responsible for remaining current with coursework and successfully completing all program and certification requirements.
-Can I call myself a Certified CCCA Specialist™ after completing the program?
Upon successful completion of all certification requirements, graduates may use the Certified CCCA Specialist™ designation in accordance with the Institute of Trichology Studies' credential-use guidelines.
-Will I learn how to create a CCCA service or program in my business?
Yes. During the CCCA Business Launch Lab™, you'll begin developing your CCCA specialty, including your consultation, services, signature program, pricing, client journey, systems and launch strategy.
The goal is for you to leave with more than knowledge—you should have a framework for putting your specialization into practice.
-What is included with the Founding Cohort website bonus?
Founding Cohort members will receive a professionally designed website to help establish their CCCA specialty online. Website design is included. Domain registration, ongoing hosting/platform fees and optional upgrades are not included.
-Will clients be able to find me after I become certified?
Yes. Certified graduates will be eligible for inclusion in our Certified CCCA Specialist Directory, providing an additional opportunity for prospective clients searching for CCCA-focused professionals to find you.
Founding Cohort members will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the professional website design included with the program. Your website can be built with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind, helping strengthen your online presence and improve your ability to be discovered when potential clients search online for a CCCA specialist or CCCA-related services in their area.
We strongly encourage graduates to take advantage of both opportunities—the Specialist Directory and your own professional website—to begin building visibility for your CCCA specialty.
Website design is included for Founding Cohort members. Domain registration, ongoing hosting/platform fees and optional upgrades are not included.
